The Crowns, Botallack, Cornwall
The Crowns are old engine houses for the Cornish tin mine that ran 400 metres out under the Atlantic Ocean situated at Botallack. The area is protected by the National Trust and the BBC production of Poldark featured the local landscape.

These photographs were taken during what was described as the "storm of the century" in February 2014 when the Crowns were on the receiving end of hurricane force winds and huge waves.
