The Gannel Estuary, nr Newquay, Cornwall
The area surrounding The River Gannel, which marks the boundary between Newquay and Crantock, overlooked by the Pentire headland, has recently been established as a prime area of nature conservation significance in Cornwall. The estuary meets the stunningly beautiful Crantock Beach, named as best UK beach by the BBC in 2013.
